Text Marketing Terms
For restaurants. Version 2026-10-21.2 · Last updated: October 21, 2026
1. The short version
MasOrder is operated by MAS Hub, LLC (“we”, “us”, “MasOrder”). We register your restaurant with the US phone carriers as its own text-message sender, and then send your marketing texts to customers who said yes to them. Your customers are yours. We run the sending.
In return you promise three things: you will text only people who agreed, you will tell the truth in your registration, and you will follow the rules below. If you break them, we can stop your texting.
These terms add to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
2. What we do
- Register you with the carriers using the details you give us: your legal business name, EIN, address, website and a contact person. The carriers decide, not us. We cannot promise they will approve you or by when. It usually takes 1 to 3 weeks and can take longer.
- Send your texts through your own registered number once you are approved. Every text starts with your restaurant’s name.
- Keep the proof that each customer said yes: the exact words they saw, the time, their order and their phone number.
- Send one welcome text to each customer who signs up, right after their order, so they know they are signed up and how to stop. It is free and does not count toward your texts.
- Handle STOP and HELP automatically. When someone replies STOP, they get no more texts from you until they choose to sign up again themselves. A customer who taps “No thanks” when a later checkout asks about texts is taken off the same way.
3. Who you can text
Only customers who said yes to texts from your restaurant at checkout: once they type their phone number, the checkout asks them, and they tap “Yes, text me”. We will only send to those people, and we do not let you add anyone else.
Never text:
- People from a list you bought, rented or typed in.
- Customers who only placed an order or called your phone line. An order is not a yes to marketing.
- Anyone who replied STOP.
Never make a text sign-up a condition of ordering. It must always be optional.
4. Limits we enforce
- At most 4 marketing texts per customer per month from your restaurant.
- Only between 8 am and 9 pm in your restaurant’s local time.
- Every text says who it is from and how to stop: Reply STOP to opt out.
5. What you can say
Your food, offers, hours and events, in a way that is true and not misleading. You may not send:
- Anything unlawful, deceptive, threatening or hateful.
- Adult content, gambling, tobacco or vape, cannabis, weapons or loan offers.
- Alcohol of any kind: beer, wine, liquor, cocktails, drink specials or happy hour. Food made with it is fine, like beer-battered fish or a wine sauce.
- Messages for another business, or messages that pretend to be a person or a company you are not.
- Links through public link shorteners. The carriers reject them.
6. Your registration must be true
The details you give must match your IRS records, including the exact legal name on your EIN letter. Tell us if they change. Wrong details are the main reason carriers say no, and false details can get your registration refused or shut down. If the carriers say no, we will tell you what to fix and ask you to send it again.
7. Fees
Text marketing costs $25 a month. That includes 150 texts a month. A text is one message to one customer. Texts you do not use do not carry over to the next month.
Extra texts cost 5¢ each. Before you send, the screen shows how many extra texts that send uses and what they cost, and you confirm. Extra texts are added to your next MasOrder bill. You can set a monthly limit on extra spending (we start you at $20), and a send that would pass it is stopped. Automatic texts never use more than the texts included in your plan.
Setup fee: $75. MasOrder currently waives it, and pays the carrier registration for you. If we start charging it later, it applies only to restaurants that sign up after that. Anyone who signed up while it was waived keeps it waived.
The $25 a month is added to your MasOrder bill automatically when your texts turn on, starting with your next bill. If the carriers decline your registration, you pay nothing. You accept these fees when you send your application.
8. Stopping and pausing
You can pause your own sending at any time. Pausing does not stop the monthly fee.
To cancel, contact us at hello@masorder.com. Cancelling takes effect 30 days after you ask. Fees already charged are not refunded. Starting again later can mean registering again, which takes weeks.
We can pause or end your texting right away if a carrier or the law requires it, if you break these terms, if many customers opt out or complain, or if your registration details turn out to be false. When texting stops, nothing is sent. Your customer data stays yours. We keep the consent records the law asks us to keep.
9. Who is responsible for what
You are responsible for what your texts say and for following the law, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, the carriers’ messaging rules and your state’s rules. We provide the tools to collect consent and honor STOP. We do not review your messages and cannot make them lawful for you.
To the extent the law allows, you are responsible for claims that come from what your texts say. We are not responsible for carrier delays, filtering, refusals or changes to their rules.
10. Privacy
We do not sell phone numbers. Mobile information and text messaging consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy.
11. Changes and contact
We may update these terms. The version you accept is recorded with your setup form, and a new version applies once you accept it. Questions: hello@masorder.com.
